A brilliant article, thank you for this. I can completely understand why Smith slapped his "friend" for such a horrifically nasty comment, but it was WRONG. Both of them messed up. It would have been so much better if he had strode across the stage to Chris and demanded a public apology to his wife. That would have been much more powerful.

You're so right - kids learn from us. Can't be having people encourage violence in this way!!!
