Ahhhh this is wonderful!!! Thank you so much for another fantastic submission! I love it. And...the British love to be awkward. I grew up in Canada, made the switch from the "hard way" to metric - wasn't as bad as I'd expected. Moved to England 20-ish years ago. Supposed to be metric.

But wait...all roads and travel distances are in miles. Car speedometers have miles in big numbers on the outside and kilometers are tiny numbers on the inside of the semi-circle (for when we drive to the continent). But all other lengths are metric. Measuring a desk or a curtain length etc - all in metric.

And go to the pub, have your pint (20 fl. oz. here, 16 in Canada when we still had pints) - but wine and spirits are in millilitres.

Plus everything in shops is metric. ??!?
