An incredibly well-written and thorough analysis of many aspects of this film, which was a brilliant work in many ways. I had no idea about the incessant retakes and how unbearably exacting Kubrick was! Yikes!! But it did show in excellent performances.

Great casting, too!

Just sad that the film was such a massive let-down in terms of the fear/suspense/terrifying factors after reading the book.
