As always, brilliant storytelling! That poor soul ... and the thing is, people often say "why don't the homeless just get a job?"

How do you get a job when you have nowhere to shower or wash your clothes and you can't get a shave or a haircut, and of course, 'no fixed address' and no phone number - but yeah, just go get a job.

And all too often, government services are overloaded and there just isn't help available.

Bless you - you're so lovely to have wanted to help him with food or money - even though it didn't go too well.
