I play the piano, although never had proper piano lessons. I taught myself to play the organ when I was 4 because that's what we had. I could read by then, so I spent hours at the keyboards with the instruction books that came with it. I had to stand up to play the pedals, but learned how to play chords and read music.
When I was 9, I finally got lessons! By 12 was doing a lot of public performances. Starting attempting to play piano in my teens (very different from organ) and eventually learned how to play classical pieces - my favourite for piano.
I've attempted to write a bit, although I have no clue about composition! No pressure to listen to this - please don't feel obliged! - but if you feel so inclined, here's one of those where I just hit "record" and I see what falls out. I recorded it when I had to leave England and move back to Canada. I was gutted, as I adore England more than I can say.
