Awww, Denise!!! Bless your dear heart! You've been through such a lot! Thank heaven for the blessings in this situation. I'm so glad for the wins and the fact that you've got help and support - and yay, your sister!!

I can relate to so much of what you said, since this awful injury and surgery last year from which I am still recovering. Have had to focus on the tiny milestones that felt monumental, and have had no choice but to slow down. Everything has taken so much longer. Couldn't even get into a bathtub for six months (still can't even consider standing in a shower and it's nearly one year now).

But I'm so grateful for no more sponge baths! So grateful every time I get in a tub now! Grateful I'm starting to be able to walk a little bit without assistance (only in my home and where I can grab furniture or a wall).

One step at a time, we will both get through our respective healing journeys, enjoying the slower place and all the learning and insights that come with the experience.
