Awww, Jessica! I'm sorry to hear this is often a time of sadness and grief for you.

I wonder if there's something you could do to shift that - if you wanted to, I mean. For me, on reflecting on a difficult year or period of time, it's been helpful to write about (or even make a list of) the good things I can find in it, or the blessings, anything that has a positive feeling. The writing part is essential; keeping it in my head isn't enough. I need it to be more concrete. This adds some balance when there's been too much emphasis on the parts that were difficult.

Acknowledging both sides has helped me to let go of the harder parts. A more balanced perspective makes me feel better, lighter.

I'll be thinking of you today and through this week, hoping you find some light and peace in what is usually a challenging time for you. And I'm shipping a really big hug, too... Brace yourself, here it comes! 💜💜💜
