Awww, my lovely friend, you and your pajama sleeve must have been a mess! And of course, you're right in all you said. We cannot live forever - not here, not in an enchanted kingdom. And frankly, I wouldn't want that.

My weepy comments were about so much of this - all you said, the cycle of life, the passage of time, lost love, all of that - and also, my tears were for little Rebecca who read this story at such a tender age and was so, so sad. How lovely your big sister looked after you; such love there - which also made me weepy. I cannot imagine what that must have been like. I ached for that kind of family so it's lovely to read about those experiences that others had (although I know, it wasn't all sweetness and light either).

It was everything about the story in the book and YOUR story that left me a blubbering mess, but I was grateful for having had the experience.
