Awww, Shereen! What a beautiful message! Thank you ever so much for taking the time to read this story, and to share your kind thoughts. It has definitely been a challenge to get to this point and I still have a long way to go. But at least I've made a LOT of progress from where I was and I am so so so so thankful every day that I can at least function on my own in my home, even if I can't yet do many things and I do not have full use of my leg. Stairs (three flights here, no elevator) are a challenge but I can do them.
And I can walk with a cane but I am afraid to go out right now as it's terribly slippery (plus it's in the -30 to -40 range with wind chills nearing -50°!!). So I'm housebound but it's okay. I have a cosy home. I have all I need. I am so grateful that I can get my own meals and drinks. I can have a bath. And recently managed a shower after 14 months!!! Finally was steady enough on my feet! Still a trick getting in and out of the tub whether for shower or bath but at least I can do it!!!
So there is a lot for me to appreciate. My life is pretty darned good, in spite of the hard parts, and I am so thankful!
I appreciate you so much, Shereen. I wish you lived next door! I would so enjoy visiting with you!!
Thank you for reading this and for your beautiful message. You really made my day! 💜
