Awww, Tamara, what a lovely piece! So poignant and sweet, such deep compassion for the trees and Mother Earth! And it was fascinating, too, I knew some of what you shared but mostly, it was news to me.

I remember when I was really little we had real ones but that was before fake ones were 'a thing.' By the time I was about 9 or 10, that was 'the thing to do' so it was 'fake all the way' till I stopped celebrating Christmas about 35 years ago.

I had no idea the fake ones have a worse carbon footprint! I'd have thought since they last for many years, it was a much better option.
