Awwww, Jenny!!!! Thank you so much for your beautiful message and kind thoughts! I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and to share your own challenging experiences with me. I'm so sorry you went through all of that - and how AWFUL when people in church are cruel and judgemental! Sadly, this happens all too often and when it does, they just don't see the hypocrisy.
How dreadful for your daughter, too, as she would have had enough on her plate and would have needed a supportive community. Thank heaven she had YOU!
Your kind words in the latter part of your message mean so much to me, Jenny - about lifting me up, that I'm not alone - thank you!
I think I've probably got as much peace about this as I could ever have. I do still love my son but haven't talked to him in 16 years - half his life as of his 32nd birthday yesterday. His choice, not mine. I accept the situation as it is and must just keep moving forward as I've always done.
Oh, and by the way, no, I haven't had any negative or hurtful comments at all!! All 73 (as of this writing) have been supportive toward me, which is a welcome surprise. I prepared myself for a blast of accusations and finger pointing. It hasn't happened.
Blessings and gratitude to you, Jenny. Your message has made my day! 💜
