Awwww JMH - thank you!! What a lovely message! I appreciate all you said. I was certainly not perfect, nor was Jacob's father. But our imperfections were nothing drastic or that should have caused this kind of outcome. We did our best.

I certainly didn't have that kind of family support in my own life and I always swore I'd do my best to give my children a happier home than I had, and make them feel loved.

All I could do was my best. I can't help but wonder if I missed something.

I guess some things are not meant to be understood.

I have peace in my life in general - thank you - but when it comes to this situation, I can't imagine ever feeling that way. My son killed a man. All I can do is learn to live with it.
