Brilliant article, thanks for this. I remember when this was unfolding decades ago - such a horror and everyone was sure Nelles was guilty. Sounds like Trayner was the guilty party - unless it was the rubber tubing! Love the way you told this story - great job!

By the way, in your "Aftermath" section, number 2, I believe you have incorrectly said "Nelles" when you meant "Trayner" in the second sentence, in case you want to fix it. :)
