Denêe! What an interesting story! Thanks so much for sharing this! I knew about controlled burns - I mean, that they happen, but I didn't know why. I'd been told they were to stop a fire - i.e., if there was nothing there to burn, a fire would stop on getting to that point and wouldn't be allowed to spread further.

Which also makes sense, I guess!
