During my years as a snake keeper, I had a couple of boas. They are lovely, docile animals and enjoy being held. Except for Fluffy. He didn't much care for people and preferred to stay in his hideout. He was terribly timid but they are usually fairly laid back and happy to be with people. Drape them along the back of the couch and they'll watch sports with you or a chick flick or whatever you're watching, they don't mind. :)
