I had no idea there's a globe museum!!! How fascinating is that?? And I was astonished about those handmade ones - but come to think of it, how else would they have been made centuries ago??

This was a fun read and your pics are gorgeous - and that ceiling ... oh, my ... that's what I miss about living in England and seeing magnificent old estates with that kind of artwork - or in Spain or Italy. I remember a hotel in Italy having that sort of ceiling in the breakfast room?!?!? Amazing. Nothing like that here in western Canada, which is very new and modern. I love OLD.
