Gosh, Rick, I feel healthier just for reading this!! LOL!

I used to cram healthy foods down my kids' throats all the time. They were quite happy with that. And I did a lot of baking but always reducing sugar and adding extra healthful flours (barley, oat etc.) or nuts etc. They still managed to have enough 'other stuff' elsewhere and as this was all they knew, they were good with it.

Except my youngest, Jacob, who really didn't like vegetables. He would eat a little bit but when he was really little (about 3 or 4) and wearing overalls with big pockets, I remember doing laundry one day and finding huge damp patches down both sides of his overalls. And I found the remnants of vegetable soup in the pockets!!

A lovely piece, Rick, loaded with excellent ideas. Every little change toward something healthier can make a difference!
