It was 1935. Wednesday, the 15th of May, to be exact, when the young man was meant to be on his way to Tennessee to start a new life as a country doctor and general surgeon.
But with the bizarre events of that morning, Robert didn’t know which was worse: questioning his sanity, or discovering that something otherworldly had invaded his life.
It had all started as he was preparing to leave the one-room apartment that he had been renting in Albany, New York. He was due to board the 9:20 a.m. bus for Nashville, near a small town where his sister, Sandy, lived. Missing her kid brother, she had made some inquiries and found that the local doctor’s office had an opening for him.
