Guessing he was escaping his own thoughts and feelings...

I wrote long tomes about his TV watching habit in My Husband, the Couch Potato which sometimes was more than 40 hours a week; it was something where I was mystified by what he could possibly gain from watching so much tv. I couldn’t figure out what the heart of so many hours of tv watching did for him. I was frustrated because I felt there was so much to explore and do in life and there was this tv corpse, who could not be dragged off the couch. And I didn’t know what that meant.
