Hahaha!!! Nah, I wasn't offended. I just laughed. She was 7. I remember being 13 and thinking a 23-year-old was so grown-up and mature, and that my mother, who was 46, was "getting up there."

Which reminds me...my eldest daughter was four. I was trying to be a good mama and was taking her to church (not that I ever did call myself a Christian before moving on to other religious/spiritual pursuits). In Sunday school of course she learned about Jesus. One night we were doing bedtime prayers etc. and she said, "Jesus is reeeeally old." Such a serious face with those big, blue eyes.

I said, "Yes, he really is."

She was thoughtful for a moment and then said, "I think he's six."
