Hi, CM! Thanks for sharing that! It sounds like the kind of book that's fun to write and loaded with imagination.

Just wanted to clarify something, as you highlighted about my dive back 20 years to 1935 to write the story of how my couple meets in that series... because you mentioned wanting to write a prequel, I thought I should mention that it's not the same as a prelude, which is what I wrote.

Please forgive me if you know the difference. It's one of those weird little things that many writers do not know so I thought I'd share this, because I was one of those writers and originally called my prelude a prequel until another writer pointed out the difference.

A prelude is a standalone story that isn't necessary to the series. It provides some background or context, or serves as an introduction to characters, as mine did. It's not essential to read it to understand the novels.

However, a prequel is something that is written later - a "sequel" to books 1, 2, and 3 for example, but it goes back in time to before what we know from book 1. Like a giant flashback, revealing essential information but it needs to be told AFTER the other books. It is central to the story, but can only be revealed later in the series.

I hope that wasn't as confusing to read as it felt to write!

Apologies if you already knew this.
