Hi Nicole, I managed to carve out some time to check out your story, which I didn't think I could do today, but as you'd already published it, I was hoping to check it out ASAP so it would still be "fresh" enough to add to FLF.

One of the main reasons publications don't accept published pieces (apart from wanting to have a chance to edit and suggest changes), is that they appear in chronological order. Therefore, if you published this a week ago and then I add it to FLF, there will have been so many other stories added there since yours was published, yours will be buried under the more recent ones.

I've added you as a writer, and if you submit this quickly, I'll add it. I don't want it to get lost amongst the ones that will come after it.

This is a very imaginative and well-written story! Thank you for responding to the prompt and as there are no deadlines, you're welcome to play with the previously published prompts, too, if you feel so inclined.
