I agree about anger, and it often comes from fear or hurt. It's easier to feel angry than hurt. It's easier to feel anger than fear. We tend to convert these scarier, unpleasant feelings into one that makes us feel powerful and that can shift the responsibility or offending behaviour to someone or something else, rather than to allow ourselves to feel vulnerable - which is what fear and hurt do to us.
