I agree with all you said about why it's important to share my story. I just don't want to get sued or end up in jail (it can happen in Canada for defamation of character; the truth is no defense and I can't "prove" anything anyway, and people have gone to jail here for writing memoirs etc. that embarrass others).

Even if none of that happened, I don't need the toxicity that would unravel. I've spent years finding my way to a quiet, peaceful life. It's also quite an isolated life but I'm content and have no need to add more drama after fighting so hard to get away from it.

Hmm ... perhaps this is something to write about here, too.

Anyway - I was just going to say - yes, my story is important so I'm telling it in bits where I can. It was certainly terribly chaotic in my earlier adult life, but fortunately by the time I had the two littlest ones (Willow and Jacob) in my care, my own life was more settled, but my older kids had experienced a lot of change and turmoil.

Thanks for the movie suggestion. I looked it up and I'm pretty sure I saw it a long time ago. It looks very familiar. Will give it (another) look. Thank you! 💝
