I can certainly relate to this, and it's a tough one - feeling like you wish you could still be in "ignorance" where you thought you were happy ...

But at least for me, it turns out that facing the truth brings a much better and richer kind of bliss once you get past the shock, the hurt, etc. and into the healing.

I'd prefer not to waste another minute on fake bliss and get to work on the real thing.

But no one said it would be easy getting there!

Thank you for sharing this. It's so painfully honest and I can promise you, you're not alone in feeling this way.

By the way ... shortly after you submitted to my pub, I was trying to publish it, but you were in there still changing it! So I quickly left you a private note and then got out of there so you could carry on.
