I can sure relate to a lot of your parenting issues (and personal challenges too). I wrote a piece here a few months back about my son being convicted of first degree murder and the nightmares of raising him and doing everything under the sun to help him (as did his dad and countless professionals), but he wasn’t interested.

I’m sorry you’ve had a lot of troubles as a dad but it sounds like your son is still willing to work with you, to listen to you, and to respect you. He’s receptive to listening and learning.

Those are some huge pluses. I’m sure all will be well as he matures. It just might be a bit bumpy for a while but you’re doing a great job.
