I didn't see the specifics of anything in the paragraph immediately above, but I had a strong sense of deep unhappiness, not fitting in, bewilderment, "how do I get where I wish i could be?" Also a sense that he doesn't feel good about himself. It makes me sad. I feel a bit lost, trying to find my way.
