I don't think there's anything wrong with your wiring! I think it's a cool idea to read (or try to read) everything by a favourite author. Why not?? I mean, look at the film, Julie and Julia, about a young woman who idolizes Julia child and who has never stuck to anything in her life, and commits to attempting every single recipe in Julia Child's book within one year, and to blog about it daily. She did it - but there must have been a lot of foods or recipes that she didn't like or didn't want to do (but God bless her, she did finish what she set out to do!).
The fact that you want to do it is interesting and admirable. I wish you success in wading through all 80+ of his books! And of course, while you're getting through those, he'll keep writing more!
I have a friend who was talking to him at the Juno Awards (I think it was the Junos?? Canadian equivalent of Emmy). He (King) said he writes every single night for 4 hours, no matter what else is going on, and he STOPS at the 4-hour point, no matter how engrossed he is in the story. THAT's dedication!
So you can count on that list growing while you're busy reading!!
