I love this!! I have to say, I'm not sure I've ever had "writer's block" - well, apart from these 14+ months since my injury/surgery and having a rough healing journey, I've struggled to get back to writing novels. I used to be able to do an easy 10,000 words a day, no problem. Wrote a 95,000-word novel in 8 days, first time at it.

But since this injury and little sleep and a lot of pain, and various other challenges related to it, creativity hasn't been my friend. Writing Medium-friendly pieces again is a big step and I'm grateful for the progress. I'll be happy when I'm back to 'normal' for me, though.

I don't think this counts as writer's block though. Usually, I have trouble STOPPING writing and turning OFF the ideas!!!

Thanks for this wonderful story, and oh, my, what a beautiful surprise to find your sweet shoutout and links!! Thank you so much! I sure did love Gerald. A lovely story!
