I love this, Janet! I agree with all you said. And I would add that in my humble opinion, perhaps sometimes people could choose to be less offended. It’s got ridiculous now. With talk of calling women “people who menstruate” or “people with a vulva” so as not to offend those who do not identify as “women” is so far beyond ridiculous there’s no word for it.

And we can’t even laugh at ourselves anymore with jokes like “An Irishman, an Englishman and an American walked into a bar” or “A priest, a rabbi and a Druid…”

A line has been crossed. People don’t just get offended at truly insulting and offensive things now. They seem to be looking for reasons to spew outrage at the littlest things and I’m seriously not impressed. Makes me want to tell them to grow the f*** up and find something to whine about that really matters.
