I'm the same with my writing. I have to just speak from the heart. I would write what I write even if no one ever read it.

You asked, "Do you do it for the money, honey? Or do you do it for the love of the craft?"

I do it for the love of it. AND I'm happy if I can earn some money from it, too. But it starts with the love of it. It starts with saying what I need or want to say. The money is a beautiful bonus, an exchange of energy. If someone finds value, inspiration, help for a problem, maybe a new perspective that allows a shift to a better or happier way of being because they read my words, the money I receive is like a universal barter system. It's my hard-won experience and my energy that I've put out into the world now coming back to me as a "thank you."

That's how I see it anyway.
