I loved this book and have done my version of morning pages off and on for many years. It was easier to do before some health challenges and too many moves in a short period (11 times in 4 years) and trying to settle back into a routine. I don't limit myself to three pages. I give myself at least 30 minutes - preferably an hour, and write without stopping for that entire time. Some of my best writing and most powerful insights have come from this writing.
