I understand that you used humour as one of your tags (oops, Canadian moment, forgive me - "humor") but I cannot see this story and crack a smile. I understand that you needed to keep your sense of humo(u)r in prison but I fail to see this painful situation as anything more than horrific and dehumanising.

I'm so sorry for all you've endured; I can't even begin to imagine what it was like, despite what I know of your life.

But - as always - I love your writing style and the way you tell a story. I just really wish this one weren't true.
