I'm so sorry. People can be such idiots. Don't know where you live (I'm in Canada) but the USA with reversal of Roe v Wade and talking about reversing other rights, like same sex marriage, the rest of the world has started to get weird, too. It's setting a dangerous precedent. I wish someone could just put on the brakes and stop this insanity. It's like you said - "going backward" - if these recent events in the USA aren't backward, I don't know what is.
