I'm so sorry to hear about your father's diagnosis. Such a tough one for him to face, as well as all who love him.

Thank heaven for things like stairlifts that can help with mobility!

When I stayed with my dear friend in Ontario before his death 2 years ago, he had one of these and I used it for laundry and transporting various other things up and down. I'd been having a lot of nerve pain in one leg for a few months prior to arriving and his very large home had an extra long staircase. It was hard enough to navigate the stairs while hanging onto the railing; I'd have had a huge challenge with laundry etc.

On really bad days for leg pain, I used it to get myself up and down, too!
