It sure did for me. I could never have foreseen the situation I'd be in, and I had no idea of the benefits available to me from the Canadian government. Nothing like them in the UK - turned out to be an incredible stroke of luck that I chose to leave the UK (which was sooo hard) and return to Canada.

Good thing I did. What an amazing gift to discover that being Canadian was going to save me. I had no intention of living here again when I first moved to the UK. But I'm so glad I came back - for a bunch of reasons. Especially that bloody FAN!
