LOL! What a great message! Yep, I am extremely immersed in All Things Woo. And my spiritual beliefs about the kinds of things you mentioned had got me through such a lot of awfulness in my family, and watching my grandchildren suffer because of their parents' "stuff" etc. - just had to keep believing that all of us choose our lessons before we get here, etc.

But somehow, this murder made me question everything. Perhaps just because it was too close to home.

I get what you mean about this belief helping you with your own anger and being subjected to the heartless judgement from clueless young souls, as you put it. All kinds of ugly things can be easily explained when we look at it from that perspective and it makes it easier to bear.

I just hadn't looked at Jacob's issues quite like you described them - about how he has all that anger etc. from a previous life bubbling below the surface, or your perspective about his desire to improve his life when he was 15.

All I'd been able to see was that he'd made these terrible choices and now he had killed a man and destroyed a family. Not to mention how it's impacted his own.

I suppose I could sum up that whole message by saying it felt like you gave me back my son. I'd been so caught up in seeing all of this from a human perspective, I couldn't imagine what spiritual reason there could possibly be for him or for his victim to experience this. Now I can take myself out of "Mama" and remember about our souls' journeys and lessons again.

Thank you so much for that much-needed reminder, Carin. I'm so grateful to you. 💝💝💝
