Not likely. Perhaps to a small town, but at this stage of my life (same age as you, I think) and looking ahead to getting older, I'd rather be close to resources I might need (hoping I won't!). Better for other reasons, too, roots, Willow coming to visit family/friends from Vancouver, just really wouldn't want to start over somewhere new. Done that more than enough in the last 22 years since I first moved to England. I've moved 21 times (which is really something when you consider I was in my cottage for 8 of those years) - 7 of those moves were in 15 months (2020/21) due to abusive live-in landlord issues and being trapped with them during lockdowns. That's what led to the diagnosis of Complex PTSD in Sept. 2021.
Then left England July '22 to help my terminally ill friend in Ontario thinking he had at least a year - but he was gone almost immediately - also traumatic - then scrambling to find somewhere to live and ending up in my friend's basement in Calgary ... and then 6 weeks later, my injury.
Too many moves, too much trauma.
It's been horrible and I just want to stay put where I'm comfortable now.
Better to stay put. At least it's really quiet in my home so I'm happy about that.
