Oh, Debra ... I'm so sorry for this extra mountain of hurt you've had to bear on top of all the other pain and misery you've shared in other stories. There's such a lot in here ... losing your brother at such a young age - how horribly traumatic, and watching your mother fall apart, your family crumble for other reasons, your sister makes herself scarce - so much to bear for anyone, especially such a young soul. Gosh, in your 20s and all of that on your shoulders.

Well, as you say, there was a lot of good in how you stepped up and became a leader when it was necessary. You developed lifelong traits that prepared you for what lay ahead...and I'm sure you've been a great source of support and comfort for others along the way.
