Thanks so much for your detailed feedback on this story, along with your kind comments about my writing and how it feels to you. I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate all you shared.

Wow - I never thought anyone would ever be saying my relationship with my dad would give them a peek at father-daughter love. I guess because so much of it was fraught with too much baggage.

But it's true. Although he was a weird little man with some peculiar quirks - or probably because he was a weird little man with some peculiar quirks - we did have our tender father-daughter periods and they were wonderful.

Much more traditional when I was little, before his life/job etc. blew up and he got seriously into drinking. But when I was older, it was unconventional but at least it was there.

I shared some thoughts at his memorial service, and I was sure I had that story on Medium, but apparently I don't - or I can't find it! I do have it on my website. No pressure to read it, but as you've mentioned having a look at father-daughter love, I thought I'd offer it.

I need more days in every day so I can read lots and catch up with myself! I most definitely want to read more from you and learn about your life and your beautiful spirit. Biggest hugs back to you! 💜
