Oh, my! Jay, this is sooooo beautiful! Gosh, what wonderful memories! How I wish I could have been at your house for those events, and to have so much love and the warmth of family in the ways you described. I sat here grinning through the whole thing and got a little weepy (in the good way - for you having had those experiences, and I guess in the not-so-good way, as I never got to feel what that must be like, not until I was the mum, but how wonderful to have been the kid).

I suppose you could always put up a notice at a supermarket or local drug store etc. Ask if anyone wants to get together for some carolling??? Why not start up the tradition again?
