Ohhh, Karen!! THANK YOU!! This is just so beautiful and offers a stark look at what it's like to be in HR - well, if you're a person with a heart and someone who is in that business for the right reasons, as you obviously are.

But what a huge price you have to pay to be able to do it well.

It sounds like you're good at setting boundaries and taking care of yourself, though, and I'm sure there are times that's quite difficult.

I admire and respect you for being able to do this work, Karen. You'd be such a lovely soul to encounter for those who are discouraged, desperate and disheartened. Great for them - but a challenge for you. You're such a blessing for those who are struggling, even when you can't help them. You'll say it with love and compassion and kindness.
