Over 300 comments and 1.3K reads is a lot for any post, much less in one day. Obviously, it was a subject that hit a nerve and people must have been sharing it.

I've had a few with over 200 before, both on the subject of my son committing murder. One was boosted, one was not.

I've had well over 100 comments for other pieces, too, I think mostly boosted, but a few weren't.

I've usually done quite well for earnings, and I don't know why exactly. Probably just that I've been here for a few years and have a lot of followers and reads ?? I never look at my stats, beyond my earnings so I don't keep track of any of that.

But yeah - if we stay with this pennies situation, people will leave in droves. I'll be one of them. I love hanging out with people here, but I simply can't afford the time unless there's some financial benefit for me, too. As it is, we don't get anywhere close to an amount that's worthy of our time but at least it's something.

I'd rather put my efforts toward my novels, or perhaps look for some other online mags/newspapers that pay now and then than give this company more of my money and my time/energy/skill when the only part of it that they care about is my membership fee.

Love you heaps, Cath 💜
