Same here!! I detest microwaves, would never want one. I have a dishwasher but refuse to use it - along with all the others I've ever had. My fanciest appliance is a toaster oven!

And I have two mismatched dinner plates (one was my grandmother's, one was given to me along with much of what's in my home now - a lady was downsizing and had mother's and mother-in-law's stuff to get rid of and I'd left everything in England, was starting fresh last year.

I have very few dishes, mugs, glasses etc - but it's more than I can use as one person living alone! I don't need or want a lot of "stuff"!
