Sandra, this is lovely! I used to have COUNTLESS ornaments and other things all over my home, the walls, shelves - it was ridiculous! They all represented something that made me happy.

Now, I am a minimalist and have very few belongings at all, and most of the items that are on display are not mementos but more to give my home a little personality and warmth. I have only a handful of "keepsake" items but they make me smile, too, as they relate to my children.

Everything holds energy, and it's definitely good to let go of anything that brings up painful memories or the past you want you to forget.
