Suma! What a beautiful newsletter! A perfect ending to one year and welcome for the next!

As you know, I always love reading your stories about cooking. Your words invite me into the prayer, the intimate, sacred space of your kitchen and your heart when you share these kinds of stories.

I don't get too bent out of shape about celebrating the need for a new calendar, but I do take a little time to reflect on all that's happened during the current year, offer gratitude for all of it, learn from the challenges, and contemplate how I'd like to see things be even better in the year ahead.

I acknowledge my gratitude for so many things several times every day, there's nothing particularly different about that on the last day of the year, except of course, to be grateful for the year in total, and I pray I have many more ahead of me to enjoy this life, and make good use of the one I've been given.
