As a lifelong medium, I can assure you that you did feel her soul rise. It is just like that when the physical body dies. And she knew you were there because the soul sort of 'takes over' just at the end. The physical body is nearly finished its journey and this is why sometimes people seem to 'wake up' and they're lucid again, they recognise loved ones and have clarity that was long gone.

This is also why she knew what lay ahead for you. You got a few moments with your mother's soul, unencumbered by her ego, the part of her that made her human.

Such a beautiful gift - and also lovely that she got to tell you everyone was waiting for her and it all looked so nice.
