Thank you for your poem, Ella! I appreciate your submission, and think it's a really cool writing style!
So you do volunteer work at a prison? Assuming this is a true story. If so, I'm sure they would love it if you were funny. Can't imagine there's much to laugh about in there.
There's a brand new publication here, and the owner spent nearly a quarter of a century in prison. He writes about that - and other things, too, and he is looking for writers. You could write about your experiences visiting in prison, and he also includes the kinds of prisons that we make for ourselves. I'm an editor there. :)
