Yes - that's a very long time to miss your daughter. What a joy that they had some time together!

It was lovely to meet my birth mother and some other relatives but after a year or two, I guess the novelty wore off for her. I couldn't have a relationship with her anymore, the way she was behaving.

She was being really childish and miserable. I couldn't have a relationship with her. Turns out the rest of the family can't either.

But still, it was great to have met her and got some answers. It was lovely for a little while, as my adoption didn't go too well (understated) and it was nice to have a mother figure who was kind, even if only for a short time. 🎁
