Thank you, Rick! One of these days, I might write about what happened with my previous passion for cooking.

It just doesn't have a "happily ever after" sort of ending like 'YAY NOW I LOVE IT AGAIN!" because I don't - although I have been trying to do a little more in the kitchen lately. I can't take on much in there, though; I'm easily spooked. Haha!

I would love to shop frequently; bit of a challenge with this leg and no vehicle. As my injury happened just after returning to Calgary, I was in the process of looking for a car when I fell. It's only recently that nearly 2 years later, my leg is healed enough to drive (right leg), but it's an expensive proposition these days even with a used vehicle, and I don't go out enough to warrant it.

So I rely on grocery delivery but I miss being able to do all my own shopping. On good days, I can get to a supermarket, but those days are unpredictable due to other health issues besides the leg. Getting to my door requires climbing 35 steps, which exacerbates those issues. 🤦🏻‍♀️

But - I am massively grateful for how far I've come, and that I have my independence.

it's lovely that you have someone to cook with, sit and eat with, and clean up with, too.

I'd love to see your recipes in your articles. I might even try them if you have some that are simple and don't have too many ingredients!

Gotta say, since last night I've had a hankering for a wrap with loads of roasted red pepper hummus, tomatoes, spinach, and crunchy cucumber and peppers! Think I know what's going on my next grocery order!
